I just found out about NaNoWriMo recently when I was researching Water for Elephants. Hopefully I can participate this year!

    1. Hmm, cool. I haven’t seen that movie yet. Did it come from a book written for NaNoWriMo? That would be cool.

I just found a cool book called Book In A Month that looks perfect for guiding you on writing a novel in a month. I plan on doing just that! I’ll post a review of that book after I’ve followed it’s process, and let you know how good it is.

Apparently it was written for NaNoWriMo. I’ve been reading War of Art during my lunch break the past few days. If Book in a Month is anywhere near as good as this one, I’m sold.

      2. Book In A Month is great so far. I can give you the full scoop once I’m done reading…

My next book that I’d recommend after War of Art is Steal Like An Artist. War of Art gives you the “why,” and Steal Like An Artist gives you the “how.” It breaks the myth that artists create from nowhere, and teaches you to embrace your influence. These were really liberating concepts for me that supercharged me when it came to confidence in creating.

  2. Good luck finishing your novel by your 35th! I love setting goals, even if I don’t always make them, I do make progress. And yes, several projects keeps me going.

    1. Thanks! That reminds me of a favorite quote:

A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at. – Bruce Lee

I’ll keep you posted on my progress!

    1. Thanks! 🙂
